| With cooperation from the Englewood Rotary Club in the United States, the Koriyama West Rotary Club requested an extra printing of the Japanese edition of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, a picture book about life that links Japan and the United States, and distributed copies to 10,000 higher-grade kindergarten children in Fukushima Prefecture with the aim of consoling and encouraging Fukushima children and conveying to them the importance of life. | |
